Path to Investment Management
Hey guys I was hoping to get some opinions on the best way to eventually get into investment management. I started in audit at a Big 4 and transferred into business valuation. I've been in business valuation for a year and a half now. I'm a CPA and CFA level 3 candidate.
I've been trying to get a research associate position, but I've only seen two research associate positions in my area posted online in the last few months. I currently have some interviews at boutique investment banks and was curious if my best path to eventually going into investment management would be to take an ibanking job or to stick it out in business valuation for another year and get an MBA.
Thanks very much
