PIMCO Recruiting

Good evening to all,

I applied for a position at PIMCO at their headquarter office in Newport Beach, CA.
The position is as an trade compliance analyst. (entry level)
I heard really good things about PIMCO, its company culture and the learning curve in the company.
I submitted my application via their website 2 days ago, but unfortunately have not received any response yet.

I was just wondering if:
-I should consider trying to e-mail a recruiter directly?
-Usually how long does it take them to get back with a response?
-Any advice on recruitment process or possible recruiting contacts are warmly welcomed!

Working at PIMCO would be a great opportunity, however I understand that it is one of the most competitive financial firms to join in the US.

I recently relocated to the West coast after working in a financial service company in New York City, lets hope everything goes for the best!
