PM compensation

I'm curious about how equity long-only PM compensation is typically structured in asset management? Is it typically some standardized percentage of fee revenue or AUM? And if so, what is a range for a typical PM?

I've worked as an analyst in asset management for a number of years, but now have a potential PM opportunity I could go for, and I want to better understand the potential upside if I do pursue this.

Thanks for your help everyone.
