Private Bank Strategy & Portfolio Construction Analyst
What kind of position is a "Private Bank Strategy & Portfolio Construction Analyst"? I'm on the JPM careers website. Could someone tell me more about it?
It's one of the better analyst positions at JPM PB in my estimation. You are going to work closely with the head of the portfolio construction team to make decisions on how model portfolios for clients should be. So there is going to be a lot of portfolio management analysis (efficent frontier, model portfolio theory, etc); back testing analysis; deep dives into various asset classes, etc. You'll learn a lot with out a doubt and if you want to be in portfolio management it's a very good starting place.
I'm pretty sure I may have seen the answer to this somewhere before, but for JPM (or even PBs in general), do they have positions like this at regional offices or do those focus solely on client relationships?
