Should I stay another semester? HELP!

Hi all,

I am currently studying at a semi-target school (more of a target for middle to back office roles) in NYC. I began school in the Spring of 2017, meaning I currently finished my fifth semester and am supposed to graduate in December of 2020. I am beginning to apply to some bulge-bracket AM firms / debating some IB roles. I have an internship for this summer at a private investment firm. Am I able to apply for Junior SA roles for Summer 2020 given my graduation date? Should I extend one semester longer to give me two full years left to graduation (instead of a year and a half as it is now)? Also, what are my chances? 3.8 GPA, one current internship at an investment firm.

P.s. Any tips for a student wishing to pursue a career in AM?

Thanks to you all!

If you're graduating in December 2020, I believe you're still eligible for summer 2020 internships at most firms since it would still be before you graduate.

It'd still be a standard 8 semester undergraduate career so no problem I can see. Extensions can look fishy, but you should consult your school's career center if they have one. Hope your networking grind has already begun. Best of luck, dude.
