Spectrum Asset Management and Preferred Stock?
Does anyone know anything about Spectrum Asset Management? They are a boutique owned by Principal Global Investors that focuses on preferred stock. Website says they manage $27B making them the largest preferred manager. Anyone know anything about them or have any thoughts about working in preferred? Seems a little niche but I would think it puts you on a path to move into other parts of credit such as HY/Loans, but I don't know much about it.
