Have been thinking of making a stock pitch recently. Which stock should i research to go long/short on? Any suggestions would be helpful. Also, thanks in advance. :)

This isn't how it works.
You do research on stocks after thinking of a certain part of their business model that's either enticing or frightening, you conduct your analysis and then make a conclusion if it's a buy, sell or hold. You don't decide what the investment decision is before you start your analysis because then you'll be biased in your findings.
Choose an industry, e.g airlines. Choose a company, do their analysis and compare it to another. Go from there.
