Suggestions on career choice
Hello all,
I'm currently being interviewed for two different positions at a MM bank with hopes to work on a wealth management team down the road.
The first is a registered client associate position supporting a wealth advisor. I like this role because I feel it would be a plus to not have to produce sales right away and learn the business under an FA.
Second job is private banking officer. It is an entry level position but has sales requirements for every quarter and is more commercial banking focused with HNW clients. I've done this role as an intern, but I'm worried as a fresh graduate I'll have a hard time closing deals and learning the business on the go.
The second role is much more banking focused, whereas the first is more financial planning/investments. I have interest in both positions but what sets me up to work on a WM team in the future?
Please let me know your thoughts on what will help long term. Thanks!
