Superday for PIMCO, Alternative Credit and Private Strategies, need help!

Hi WSO,

It's my first time posting on this forum. I'm still figuring how things work.

I've been invited to a superday for the Alternative Credit and Private Strategies summer internship at PIMCO. To be honest, I feel overwhelmingly unqualified for that firm but I want to make the best shot possible at that internship. Could anyone give me some resources, advice on how to prepare for PIMCO interviews, what type of questions to expect from PIMCO, what are typical technicals in that space etc...

Thanks!

I don't want to dox myself, so I won't say anything too specific.

Their interview process for the PM group (includes your position) is hard and definitely varies by interviewer. Your best bet is honestly to have a good understanding of the way that macroeconomic moves affect asset prices in alt credit and private strategies. A strong foundation in macroeconomics and an actual view on investments or positions you would recommend are crucial.

It's no IB interview. You can't really memorize your way out of it. Do you follow the markets and spreads on credit instruments? Like why do you want this job?
