What do I do ( recruitment szn almost over and I rejected by superday)

Hi y’all I was just wondering if you have any advice or course of action I should take . I recently just completed a superday for JP Morgan AWM, and was banking hard to get the internship  because I had no other interviews . Unfortunately I got rejected , and I have no idea what to do .I did all my networking in the summer, have no more interviews , and haven’t heard back from any other places.

Do I restart networking and just do anything in the finance world now ? My previous internships are in tech , but I really want to work in Financial Analysis( junior at semi target ) but feel like I just have to restart the whole networking process again to get a position.

Or should I reach out to people I networked already and ask if their aware of any positions open lol .honestly put so much effort to get the superday , but now  feel depressed that I didn’t get any offers

Bumping this.

I'm in a similar position right now and my current plan is to just keep applying and networking in the short term as much as possible, but potentially in the longer run extending my graduation and re-recruiting for summer 2026 internships, which is a route that may be beneficial for you to take, but of course there are downsides to it as well to consider.

Nothing worth having in life comes easy. If finance is still what you want to do, then definitely keep on the networking grind but you don't need to restart. You've already done a lot of work with your initial outreach, so I think it would be a good idea to reach out to the people you've already spoke with (if you had a connection, not the one-off convos) and just let them know you're still in the market. Furthermore, typically your best best is to reach out to alumni 3-5 years out and let them know of your situation. At that point they might be more in a position to source new hires and have more pull.

Also since you're a junior, you can really just do any finance-related internship this summer then re-recruit "on-cycle" senior year.

Insurance companies should be running processes for their analyst spots for internships. Not as prestigious, but still a leg into the industry
