Are federal/defense McKinsey consultants second-class citizens in the firm?

I frequently hear of a divide between federal and commercial consultants in big 4 consulting firms, especially at Deloitte. Supposedly that apparently results in slower careers, slow-paced projects, lower salaries, and poorer b-school exit opportunities. Does anyone know if McKinsey seems to have this divide? Some consultants are hired for exclusively defense work, and I was wondering if this issue affects them.
