i applied to a lot of the big firms with good referrals and haven't heard back either- think they might just be rolling them out after FT interviews are done
For McKinsey and BCG, their first rounds for interns are in late October. I'm gonna make the assumption that you hear back approx 2 weeks before the interview date?
So mid-October-ish would be my best guess.
