BCG NY Office

Hey Guys, I'm trying to understand what differences there are between the BCG offices in the East Cost. I'm currently considering the Boston and NY office. I have been said that the NY office has a really rooted and strong Healthcare Practice (many senior partners involved). Does anyone know more?

Thanks,

As far as I know, both offices have a strong healthcare/ pharma/ med tech practice with about the same number of practice affiliates. Farber (global head of healthcare) sits in Boston, so it's definitely part of the DNA there as well. I'd even say that relative to the overall office size, healthcare is a bigger thing in Boston than in NY. NY is more balanced with a lot of Financial Institutions and PE work and a strong presence in Consumer Products as well.

Keep in mind regional staffing can negate a lot of this - your mileage may vary.

Don't know it too well, but I think lots of retail and consumer products, a bit of financial institutions/ PE, travel/ transportation as well. Transformation/ org and lots of pricing/ marketing & sales, Atlanta is somewhat similar, so the region skews this way.
