Corporate Strategy and Development(mid-size company) Vs. BB BO operations

Hi, I'm a sophomore with two offers, one at an ed-tech firm for corporate strategy and development and one as an operations analyst at a BB. The operations intern pays twice as much, but I want to end up going into management consulting next summer. Which one would you'll recommend?

Take the Corp Strategy path. You will be in the "Front" seat of whats going on around your firm. Exposure to top leadership, assess market opportunities and some more would help you to position your self better in the future for B. School/other opportunities. BB operations whilst it is paid very well, and a good career path for those who want to continue to grow in operational roles within banks, is not ideal for someone who might later want to break into more "front office" kind of roles. This is because you are kinda profiled as a BB operations individual by those in the more lucrative areas of the businesses.

Congrats on landing both gigs, all the very best!

Still Corp Strategy for me, this will do better for your CV than BB operations. Unless you want to go down the BB operations path, which is pretty decent BTW, decent pay and WLB. But if front office kind of opportunities are what you are looking for best to get some experience in areas like Corp Strat over BB operations.

Plus, its a start-up, so I would not be too worried about the size. This could be leveraged later into your story pursuing B School, consulting in Ed-areas, not sure if you are interested, whereas for ex - applying to B School or lets say PE later down the line and your CV review peeps seeing operations is not going to do you much good.
