Do the top firms now give out 1st round tests to anyone?

Attending a local target school. (outside of USA) Shitty GPA. (3.2~3.3/4) No RA or internship exp in MBB or other major consulting firms. Didn't go to the "prestigious" finance or management clubs because they were too selective and I feared getting rejected. (If I could go back in time travel I would at least give a try) Yet I got an unexpected invitation for the first round written test. Do I even stand a chance after the written tests? I mean, the process was really selective just a few years ago and someone with my resume wouldn't even have been allowed inside the company building sometime like 5 years ago. Thx in advance for all your comments

Just depends, GPA is more of a test of will you memorize this bs or that bs it's not a good indicator of actual knowledge and understanding. Sooo do you know the stuff or not ? Are you just lazy or do you deserve a low GPA because not only are you lazy but you don't get it

I'd say lazy because I just didn't like studying for the tests. Did all the assignments quite well, legitimately understand the course material
