How much do Partners make?
For those who work as consultants at McKinsey, Bain, or BCG, how much do you partners make a year?
Do you feel like this is a good deal?
Thanks

try glassdoor.
An MD will be multimillion. Obviously a good deal.
,
New ones are around a million, also would be same for established ones that aren't selling much
More successful ones are in the 2-3m range, with a few very successful ones getting up to 4-5m (but there aren't too many of these)
The median is probably somewhere around 1.5-2m
These figures are based on real comp data
As to whether it's worth it ? I'm not entirely sure, as it depends on the personality
These are generally very smart, very driven people, but they're definitely putting the work in to get this pay, whereas f500 executive life might pay them similarly (or even could be more in some cases) with a relatively easier schedule, though the work would be less varied and interesting, the caliber of the people around them generally lower, and perhaps with more risk / career uncertainty
The part about lifestyle being better for F500 execs is not true. I have worked with plenty of execs (Sr. Directors and up). Working more than 60 hours a week is quite normal. In fact I think they might be putting more hours than your average partner.
Also compensation for F500 executives is more fluid than for Partners at MBBs. It will really depend of the place itself, and more importantly stock performance
does this differ at all by firm, either in total comp or the type of comp received (salary, equity, etc)? both within MBB and among other consulting firms (ATK, S&O, OW...)
I have a friend who's dad is a partner at Accenture. He makes a couple million a year and works from home when he is not traveling. Pretty cushy.
