IBM CbD - 2.5 weeks since internship interview (is it a no?)

Hell all,

I interviewed with IBM for a summer internship in their Global Business Services group on Friday February 6th and then, I have received an automated update from the recruiter on Monday February 9th that my application was being processed and that I will be updated with any updates as soon as they are available but I have not heard anything since.

I have an exploding offer that expires this Thursday (2/26), and really need to hear from IBM ASAP. I emailed the recruiter on Saturday and did not hear anything today so I called her and left a voicemail. I am trying to be respectful of IBM's review process but I have a pretty tight deadline.

I am pretty positive that I will not receive an offer from IBM but I need to hear NO directly from them before making any decisions.

Any advice on how to handle this?

IBM tends to have a pretty long and slow recruitment process, depending on where you are. They are working on speeding it up but I would not hold my breath just yet.

I would expect to hear from them by then. Dont know what your sorority sister might be able to help you with unless she works with the HR team on recruiting and on boarding but no harm in asking to see if she knows when offers should go out

Yeah - the recruiter still hasn't contacted me so I guess I will wait a week before reaching out to my sorority sister. I would be asking her for advice/what to expect rather than asking for a job - if that makes sense.
