Job at boutique firm in DC--any advice?

I've been offered a position at a consulting firm in DC area that does compliance and risk advising and is known as a management consulting firm.

While they provide a whole host of consulting expertise, I'll be working with banking and mortage related projects (at least to start).

I'll be getting 65k, YE bonus, and traveling 80%. For the DC people, what are your thoughts on this salary? And more importantly, what exit opportunities are their for someone with banking, mortgage, and compliance experience at a consulting firm.

Also, any other tips related to: * credit cards/reward cards * luggage preference, including what messenger bag you guys use * how to maintain friendships, more importantly romantic relationship (I have a 3 year relationship with a girl I'm no doubt going to marry one day)

I imagine working around/at least 65 hrs a week, excluding traveling, and I want to hear how you guys handle such demanding jobs.

tl;dr i'm leaving a decent job at a top-tier Investment Manager (Middle office, not front office). I want to use this to get some high-level experience, but really having trouble figuring out exit ops. Also, any tips around consulting would be much appreciated.
