Just one more Cover Letter before Christmas

Hi fellow Monkeys, I have got one more Cover Letter Draft before Christmas ... please tell me what you think! THANKS

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am currently a student at the xxxxx of Finance and Management and will graduate in 2014 with a degree in finance and management. During this past summer, I completed a three-month management consulting internship, which piqued my interest in the consulting industry. While talking I some employees of xxxx at the xxxx School Careers Fair and was impressed by what I learned of your unmatched training program, result orientated environment and feedback-driven culture. My past internship in consulting and my strong work ethics enable me to be a good fit for the summer internship position at xxx.

I am confident in my interest to be in consulting having had recent experience in restructuring the payment services of a large German bank, doing multiple business process analysis, and helping clients to overcome various business challenges. In addition to sharpening my leadership ability during my internship, I fine-tuned my analytical, problem solving and communication skills. Currently I am working on my own entrepreneurial project that evaluates social media sentiment and compares it to stock price changes.

Given my initial experience in the field of consulting and my creative analytical approach, which has proven to lead to formulated pragmatic solutions, I am particularly impressed by xxx's record of accomplishment with some of the most high profile and complex consulting work like [mention ONE deal]. I am additionally impressed by the ability to incorporate one’s own entrepreneurial thinking and the significant responsibilities given to Consultants.

A copy of my resume is enclosed for your reference. I would welcome an opportunity to discuss my qualifications with you and learn more about xxxx at your earliest convenience. I can be reached at +49 xxxxx or via email at xxxx.de. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Too long!! sell yourself earlier in the letter. And you need a power statement. 3 months in management consulting is too weak, you need to write something like the largest consulting boutique in charlotte or you worked on an assignment with a F1000.... You've done over 3 internships in finance...

you get my point. For someone who actually does read it, you'll lose to someone who can really pitch themself

finally, less about you and more about how you address some need of the firm.
