MBB/B4 Advice Needed V2

resumeHey guys! I'm back since last time, have had some updates, still feel like I could be doing more. This is my current profile. In text I'll have some of the things that aren't on my resume.

Academics: Rising Junior, Nontarget Canada Uni, 3.9 GPA, BSc Statistics, Minor in Finance, Minor in CS. Grad in 2024. Entrance + Deans List + Merit Scholarships. URM.

Programming: 2 websites, 4 Python Projects, 1 ML Project, 1 hour of Leetcode / week.

Leadership:
500 Member Club (Finance): Director of Events. (Yet to officially accept)
School Fund ($100k, 20 members) Currently an Equity Analyst, could be a Portfolio Manager.
Consulting Club: Potential for President but would require me to drop something else.

Volunteering:
Food Bank, Local Homeless Mission

Work Experience:
Potential Incoming M&A Research Analyst intern, Mega Search fund, over 300 companies owned (Fall 2022 FT, Winter 2023 PT). I am yet to receive an official offer, but I am positive I will get it if I want to.
Bain BEL Interview (Results to be announced soon), potential for Summer 2023 ACI

I know that this is a bit of a read, but thanks! With MBB as my goal (internship at any time during my undergrad + FT offer after), and VC / Corp Strat as an alternative option, what else can I do? I have around 15 hours a week free (after spending time with friends and family, hobbies, etc), and I want to position myself for success. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Honestly mate you sound like a hardo doing a shit ton of stuff- make sure you have random stuff that aren't career related too. Eg. I bonded with one of my interviewers on Succession which we both happened to be watching- counts for more than you'd think

Go for pres of consulting soc- would be great experience more than anything else + being pres of a major society counts for a lot

Your internships sound decent- MBBs screening favours big names so bear that in mind

Don't stress so much about your CV/ experience- yours is good and will get you through to interview (as long as you don't fuck the test)

Source: starting at an MBB soon

Feel free to pm for anything else, happy to help

I second the other person that you sound like a hardo and you're overthinking it. Being on the other side of the process I've seen that once you pass a bar for academics/social skills the rest is really just being an interesting, sociable person. That means staying fit, having fun hobbies, and being able to talk about what you find interesting.

With the 15 hours you have per week to spend, spend 7 hours a week on an activity you love (video games, reading, etc.), 5 hours per week working out, and 3 hours per week doing case interview prep and networking in preparation for junior year MBB internship applications.

yo chill the fuck out and go have a beer or something bro. all the ECs in the world don't matter if you act and talk like a bot in an interview
