Restructuring Consulting in SF

Curious if there are any restructuring consulting firms in SF besides A&M. Or any that have remote work policies? I see that most of the shops are on the East Coast, Chicago, or LA. Are there any known shops in the Bay Area?

Based on the highest ranked content on WSO, Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is indeed highlighted as a key player in the restructuring consulting space, particularly noted for its strong reputation and significant presence in the industry. However, the context provided doesn't specifically mention other restructuring consulting firms located in San Francisco (SF) or their remote work policies.

It's common in the industry for firms to have multiple offices across the country, including in major cities like San Francisco. While the East Coast, Chicago, and LA are often mentioned as hubs for restructuring consulting, firms may have a presence in the Bay Area due to the region's significant economic and financial activities.

Regarding remote work policies, the shift towards more flexible work arrangements has been a trend across many industries, including consulting. While the provided context doesn't detail specific firms' policies in SF or elsewhere, it's plausible that some restructuring consulting firms have adapted to offer remote work options, especially in response to recent global changes in work environments.

For those interested in restructuring consulting opportunities in SF or remote positions, it would be beneficial to directly explore the websites and career pages of firms known for their restructuring practices, such as those mentioned in the WSO discussions, and reach out to professionals in the field for the most current information. Networking and engaging with industry forums like Wall Street Oasis can also provide insights and updates on firms' locations and their work policies.

I would not recommend this

if you want to be in restructuring you go to Chicago, nyc, maybe Atlanta. They have big industrials that always need restructuring or turnaround and real assets to lend against

the west coast is mostly about sass tech right now. And they usually are growthy and don’t need restructuring. Failed tech companies just go bankrupt

there of course is always some work on legacy hardware and infra .. but really if you want to be in the Bay Area then I’d plan my career around product led growth or sales
