Scenario based questions (online webcam tests) - how do you approach these?
I've had 2 'job simulation' online tests where I was presented with fictitious scenarios and I was asked to how I would respond or what advice I would give. I had to record my answers in 2-3 minute videos. These scenarios were fairly non-technical, examples include:
- your colleague has difficulty with X, this is going to affect your project tasks, what would you do?
- you have just joined a new team for a new project, what would you do?
- due to unforeseen changes, there is an increased in workload and not enough time, what would you do?
I gave some pretty general ideas in my response, along the lines of: 'set up meetings, arrange to see client, bond with new team, identify strengths in team, explain to client about unforeseen changes and impact on work, seek deadline extension'. Are these the sorts of things they're looking for? Is this level of detail enough?
Hey Lampenn, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot and I am sad to say, but this thread is lonely, so thought I'd post in here to try and help out. Some potential topics that might help:
More suggestions...
If those topics were completely useless, don't blame me, blame my programmers...
