Best Response

1) PwC if you want to be industry-agnostic. ZS if you want your career in Pharma. Seabury if you want your career in Aviation

2) Not too sure here but I would guess it would be PwC and ZS

3) Not too familiar with Seabury but I would imagine it would be PwC and ZS.

During my informational calls with each of them earlier, PwC's Advisory is growing very fast.

Didn't like the culture of Seabury based on what I discussed. One person had told that if you are staffed on international engagement, you are often there for a long time and then come back to US (instead of every week or 2 weeks). Makes it challenging if you have a family.

I know my response doesn't help much. If you are not too sure about any industry, PwC would be safest option. If after joining PwC, you decide to focus on particular industry, you can network and get your experience there. After a few years, there is always an option of going to ZS (if pharma is your choice) or Seabury (if aviation). Some food for thought.

I don't know much about PwC or Seabury, but I think PwC's reputation in the general consulting community is better than ZS. At ZS, exit opportunities are mainly just the clients (big pharma) and competitors, smaller consulting firms focusing on pharma and healthcare. The projects in the operations track are very repetitive and long-term, not nearly as interesting as in the business track.

sharship88 - I would imagine that exit opportunities for Seabury would be in the aviation industry (likely to be one of your clients). I heard on the info call that each employee is eligible for obtaining a pilot license while working at Seabury - I guess they must be sponsoring it. But treat this as a perk rather than a driver in your decision. For PwC, exit opportunities could vary - it would be other consulting firm, graduate school, or industry. What would you be doing at PwC? Have they aligned you with any industry group or capability?

I second yay_consulting on operations track. If you read reviews on glass*, you will come across a couple of postings where a person was just updating presentations (template) based on new data for a long time. However, once in this track, there is always a possibility that you could switch to general track through networking and work.

In terms of moving, you could move among PwC and ZS given that there is a need. Definitely can't move from Seabury to ZS but possibly can to PwC if there is demand in your background.

I'm not sure where ZS has a strong reputation. I went to a target school for top consulting and finance firms, and I had never heard of it until I did my own research.

Work in the operations track is mostly ongoing projects involving processes that are repeated every week/month/quarter. Business track is more one-off marketing and analytics projects. There is flexibility between the tracks. PM me if you want more details.
