Would anyone be willing to post or PM their resumes that successfully got them internship or FT interviews at T2/MBB?

Terrible recruiting this semester for me, despite being told from some contacts in the industry that my resume was good to get interviews. I am hoping to see what those who were successful had in their resumes and recruit successfully next year for Full time roles. I understand there is no specific formula to getting the interview but I would like to see if I can extrapolate any insights from viewing as many as possible. Feel free to anonymize it as much as necessary and thank you in advance if you are willing to share.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here are some actionable tips to improve your resume and boost your chances for T2/MBB interviews:

  1. Highlight Relevant Experience: If you lack direct consulting experience, focus on transferable skills. For example, showcase leadership roles, analytical projects, or internships that demonstrate problem-solving and teamwork.

  2. Quantify Achievements: Use metrics to make your accomplishments stand out. For instance, "Led a team of 5 to increase operational efficiency by 20%" is more impactful than a generic description.

  3. Tailor Your Resume: Research the specific firms you're targeting and align your resume with their values and focus areas. For MBB, emphasize strategic thinking and high-impact results.

  4. Case Competitions and Consulting Projects: Participate in case competitions or volunteer consulting projects. These experiences are highly regarded and can fill gaps in your resume.

  5. Networking: While your resume is critical, networking plays a significant role in securing interviews. Engage with alumni, attend firm events, and maintain relationships with industry contacts.

  6. Professional Formatting: Ensure your resume is clean, concise, and follows a standard one-page format. Avoid clutter and focus on clarity.

If you're struggling with your resume despite positive feedback, consider seeking advice from a coach or mentor who has successfully navigated the consulting recruiting process. Additionally, you can explore WSO's resources or forums for resume reviews and templates tailored to consulting roles.

Were you getting feedback from alumni from your school about your resume? I feel like that would be the most helpful as they'll have the best gauge of the quality within the context of your school, like performance within specific majors, leadership positions, etc.
