The Deloitte position as a BTA is very different in the nature of work - you should really be deciding between 1 and 3 if you're interested in management consulting. I know less about ZS but assuming similar work, ~2 years at PwC would be a stronger name to start your career with (ranked 5 in vault's 2015 rankings). Are there any other relevant details weighing on your decision?
I think MBA placement is a heaviest factor overall. I have heard that tech consulting is something along the lines of the "black mark" of consulting in that exit opps are limited (other than more tech). Would you know if this is a valid statement?
ZS if you're interested in healthcare, Deloitte if your interested in tech consulting, elsewise EY.
I am very interested in technology but am not sure if thats the best route to go (you can see my uncertainty from the 3 very different options haha). Do you have any insight on exit opps for tech consulting? If I were to pick Deloitte and then realize in 2-3 years tech is not for me, would I have a hard time switching over to more of a management consulting role?
Deloitte Consulting is a better brand than PwC and tech consulting is pretty interesting. They sponsor MBA as well so you can leave for 2 years and come join into S&O
Quite a few tech consultants here from Deloitte at Kellogg. S&O is an easier entrance though. Not many PwC people here, so not sure if that helps more than Deloitte tech.
Honestly, the way it play out a lot of times is that business schools let in a lot of people from companies that hire a lot of their MBA's. Deloitte is there 2nd biggest employer, so they let in a lot of Deloitte sponsored. PwC isn't a target for MBA students (PwC goes to worse schools to recruit) so Kellogg doesn't seem to let many in. That said, since they bought Booz, the calculation may change, but depends if they view PwC as equaling Strategy&. The adcoms are "special" at a lot of business schools, so not sure how it'll play out.
ZS Associates would probably give the best business school entrance to be honest.
Speaking of Kellogg and ZS, isn't there a huge pipelines from ZS to Kellogg? Pretty sure the founders of ZS were Kellogg grads (and one was maybe a prof?) and remain extremely active at the school.
