Transitioning from BB middle office operations (trade management) into Corporate Finance/FP&A
hi all, i have been working at a BB in the middle office in trade management and i am bored to tears with absolutely no room for upward mobility. i have been researching making a move into corporate finance and have been leveraging my connections at some companies (NBCUniversal, Unilever, etc.) to do so.
do you guys have any advice other than to keep networking and polish my Excel skills? should this be a difficult transition? seems more "entry-level" roles want at least 2-3 years of hard modeling/analysis experience that i just don't have.
thanks guys and girls!
