Working with Betas

I am very fortunate in that the recruiting line "I want to work in a challenging environment with smart people" true so I don't have to BS. For this sentence at least.

I have also been very fortunate to have multiple corporate banking/valuation/corporate finance internships to help me build my technical toolbag. I recently started a gig in Industry , it's insanely laid back. The pace is difficult to adjust to but is good as I am going through SA recruiting right now.

The problem is, my team is full of BETAS. They are the most apologetic, whiny, uninteresting, and boring people I have ever met. On top of that they are not knowledgeable on Finance.

Have you ever had to work with betas before? If so, how did you manage to not kill them?

Edit: This is just a bad joke for entertainment purposes and has no bearing on reality

Controversial

This is going to sound so sociopathic, but I like to play games with beta guys.

Trying to use like social engineering ideas, and persuasion and manipulation to see what I can get them to do. There was a time I wore socks that were pink, and made sure that they could see in my office, and struck up a conversation on how this really attractive girl I was seeing said that girls love guys with colorful/bright socks.

Literally, the next day the guy I was talking to had turquoise socks on. I was like, damn, this is easy.

You can use the same idea to help you advance and appear as legendary.

Hard being an alpha round betas, but it is what it is.
