Advice on career path - from 3rd LoD to ?

Short time lurker, first time poster here. The 30k ft is that I work in a 3rd line of defense credit risk oversight function; its mandated by regulation so it exists in some form at large banks. It sometimes sits adjacent to credit audit given the type of work. Its basically a retirement home for credit officers who want a chill job. Started my career in consulting and wound up in this type of group when I was in my early 20s. Through a confluence of events in my life, I never made an exit from this type of role. Recently relocated back to NYC after working remote for 4 years and getting my MBA from a reputable program in their part time program. Ive developed a lot of domain expertise and made it to a pretty senior title and my groups leadership. However, there is no upward path for me in this type of group and I have grown extremely bored. I would love to exit to some other type of credit function, work on live deals, be closer to PnL, be client facing, do some real analysis, etc. What is holding me back, side from adressing the "figure out what you want to do" elephant in the room, is a senior title with no live-deal experience (only ever looking at money out the door). I'll probably get roasted here, but genuinely looking for some advice/insight. I'm in my mid-30s and feel like I have a lot of career left in me. Totally willing to take a step down, to scale up role, but am having some issues with directionality and path forward. Humbly looking for some insights as my ChatGPT career therapist can only go so far.
