Ares Credit Direct Lending Analyst Exits?
Going to Ares DL in the NYC office this summer and was wondering what the exits are. Investments are mostly senior debt with some mezzanine and co-investments. Thanks.

I mean if I were at that shop I’d just stay there, pay is high and it’s a top shop.
Second this. You can’t get much better than that in private credit.
Just curious what makes it so highly-regarded compared to a BX/KKR/Bain Private Credit

Private equity, or go lower in the capital structure to distressed/special situations, corp dev, etc.
Nah, PC lifestyle is better and the top PC shops have excellent pay already
Exactly.
It's hilarious that some people will knock private credit or anything credit related on these forums but pay is excellent. Consistency of comp across shops and cities is the only difference, but some of these shops pay above IB these days.
Ares Credit is the exit opp bruv
How do exits look to special situations, private equity, or hedge funds from Ares?
This is the exit opp. Why would you want to leave PC?
Program is pretty new ( 3 years) so there might be not any actual exit data but would imagine similar to other MF PC programs

Heard from second hand sources that Are's credit interns only got like 2/6 return offers and none of the two accepted. Take this info with a grain of salt because I'm not sure of the exact numbers nor the office or specific credit team (DL v alternative v liquid)
Do you know what year this is for because on linkedin there are interns from 2021 converting to full time. Also heard Ares' return rates have historically been around 90% so any chance u know what the reasoning behind the low return rates were?
I could just be completely wrong. I'm not confident in my source
any insights into the difference in comp / culture / progression between DL vs alternative vs liquid at ares?
Lol kids trying to exit from exits these days
