Direct Lending Sucks

Just started in an underwriting seat at a large sponsor direct lender and am shocked at how much it sucks. Feels like the whole job is pushing aggressive deals to appease originators and go through some bullshit IC process. Super process oriented and like watching paint dry. Hours better than banking but that’s about it. Is it like this everywhere? Considering going back to IB lol
