FT 2024 Recruiting for PC/HY/LL/Structured Credit - Need Help/Advice...
Want to get some advice and insight into recruiting into some credit roles. Interned at a CLO shop last summer but was unable to get a return offer, graduated last December and had no luck in finding a similar FT offer for this year (with the doodoo markets as you all would know, had a couple of interviews for some HY credit research stuff around March and then shit hit the fan literally less than a week after and they all stopped interviewing/hiring lol), currently a credit analyst doing SBA loan underwriting cuz I need to be doing something and it's I guess still credit. Hoping to get back into buy-side credit stuff by next year, would it be possible to find something for FT 2024 right now? What are recruiting timelines? Advice? Is it even possible at this point or... feeling a little discouraged especially after the rough recruiting process I had this past 6 months looking for something...
I'm sure you could find something over the coming months, you just have to keep screening. I was able to find a buy-side credit role this summer but only through my new firm's website, it wasn't listed on Google/LinkedIn.
Definitely trying, been networking as much as possible to see if I can somehow squeeze into the FT2024 recruiting class/cycle. Thanks for the insight.
Just gotta keep grinding out different job boards, I'm also looking and I've had not great luck only superday I had ended up not getting the offer.
Hey I honestly am late to recruiting for FT PC this year, only started really looking the past few weeks as FT prospects in IB not looking great. Any recommendations on where to look or what to do? I guess another thing I want advice on is networking vs. applying. Should I be cold applying when I see an opening and then sending cold emails for networking calls? Or should I cold apply to as many PC firms as I can find?
I’ve been trying to recruit for only credit and its hard there is not as much stuff as i thought would be available
Have cases + solutions, pm me
I’m interested in case studies

BRINLEy partners hiring for PC. IT's a newer fund but well respected.
Link or should I reach out to someone at the firm specifically?
