How fked am I?
I'm an incoming commercial banking analyst at a top BB. I like credit and would like to probably stay in the field for the long term; however, I know that commercial banking isn't the best career path to start off in.
What do you guys think I should do or try to realistically pivot into in order to be able to move into a buy-side credit role down the road?
Thanks!

Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
I personally know people that made the jump from commercial banking roles at MM and BB banks to LMM P/E, Mezz, Direct Lending. Depending on level of pure credit work you’re doing it should be an easy transition
