How to break into Credit with RX Consulting background?

I have a little over 2 years of restructuring consulting (RX) experience at A&M/Alix/FTI and now want to transition to the credit space after having done a good amount of creditor/lender side work. I was wondering what are the possible opportunities I can break into? Do I need to do banking to be able to transition into private credit or will my background suffice?
