Is Golub a good place if you are interested in PC?
Would working at Golub be ideal if you are interested in private credit? How are they perceived for someone with a strong resume/background?
Concerned about potentially downgrading, most people seem to come from very mediocre groups but I heard that culture is very good.
They are one of the top MM direct lending funds. You will be doing 1L and Unitranche sponsor-backed LBOs and associated work (add-ons, refis, dividends). It won't be deeper in the cap stack/higher yielding stuff, but they have a lot of firepower/fundraising and a good track record.
As far as "prestige" / "pedigree" maybe not as impressive as an HPS/BXC/Other MF PC but a well respected shop with a lot of deal flow.
Well said and accurate. Was in PC this summer and Golub was always a top name.
This is spot on. AUM is expected to grow 100b+ in the coming years so nothing but growth at the firm.
It actually does higher yielding stuff in the form of preferred equity, NAV loans, mezz, etc, in its GEMS funds.
Heard they have shit culture. No wfh policy.
Not true. We’re required to be in the office twice a month.
Can you speak a bit about overall hours and flexibility? Are we talking 70-80 hours banking style or something more manageable in the 55-65 range?
so is the poster above trolling?
Can anybody speak on pay at senior associate and VP levels? What's base and bonus typically?
Bump
Bump - any insights into compensation, progression and exposition to Origination for Associates?
Any insights into London as well would be much appreciated.
Can anyone speak on the differences between their BSL team vs the direct lending team in terms of culture, hours, etc.?
Bump, anyone seen the recent NY posting with 150-160 base for Analyst and 170-185 base for associate?
Any other funds near this for analyst base now? Was under impression market was roughly in line with IB
This seems high but guessing bonus % is much lower?
