Private Credit/ABF in Asia
I recently noticed that Apollo were searching for a Principal in a Private Credit/ABF structuring role, for their APAC business, based in Singapore. As I'm potentially interested in a move to Asia (for the right role), this job aligns with my background really well, but admittedly a bit senior for me, so this is more of a 'perhaps one for the future' for me at this stage.
Was wondering if anybody has any visibility on whether Apollo/other MFs are raising capital/hiring for front office style structuring and investing teams within Private Credit and/or ABF in Asia? HK or Singapore would be first choices.
Bump, good luck
bump, have heard these are attractive roles - good wlb, platform, interesting work etc
bump
Heard Oaktree was hiring for performing credit seat in Asia, recently hired a new head to start building the team
GSAM is hiring for Asia Credit in SG
To confirm, both are for performing corporate credit?
GSAM covers both DL and hybrid in same team. Pretty down the fairway stuff and all the high yielding stuff from ASSG HK phased out
I thought Hybrid was essentially the legacy ASSG strategy and would continue doing more special sits-type investing, so what exactly do you mean by “phased out”? Also, is the DL strategy mainly focused on mezzanine, given that Asia is such a heavily banked market when it comes to senior loans?
