Pretty much in the title. How much are you guys expecting to get for bonus? 1st year associate here out of college who isn't as aware of bonuses (interned in IB). Specifically wondering for sell-side banks (EVR/BofA/JPM/MS etc).
Y'all are so ridiculous with these questions. It's entirely dependent on your firm, your sector, your sector/firm's deal pipeline, your analyst, and your performance. I know guys in "big" sectors at top banks getting jack shit bonuses while guys who are superstars at boutiques you've never heard of covering an industry you probably didn't know existed are getting paid through the roof. It's highly variable. And always keep in mind that people often fluff numbers on this site (only god knows why). A lot of high schoolers/college kids probably playing pretend. A good rule of thumb is to take the highest number you see in response to a post like this and haircut it by a decent %.

It'd be reasonable to expect 10-30k
Finishing up 3rd year and bouncing right after bonus. But expect ~70-90k
Mind sharing sector and bulge or MM?
Won't get specific on sector/firm but its not Tech/Healthcare, Non-BB/MM for well known analyst in space
"experienced" associate - prior experience in accounting. Was told average is 25-30%. Could be higher or lower depending on sector performance
50k as a first year, hot sector (Biotech, TMT). No grad school degree
Also in a hot sector with high deal activity. (Analyst ranked #1 for over a decade)... hoping I get something similar.
Would be interested to know if anyone can give insight on expected bonus for top 5 BB in software. 1st yr analyst.
