3rd Y Associate in research at a BB: 25% bonus - is this low?

I feel like it is bottom of the field, dont have clear comps, but curious what you'd say (also no promotion after 3 years an an associate). Thanks!!!

1.) 25% of what? - what's your base? 2.) What city are you in? 3.) What were you expecting to be promoted to?

Might be time to move on...

"Waller" base in lower 6 digits, NYC, --> VP

Bro.... this is a pretty bad post. Lower 6 digits can be anything from 100k-350k. Are you on the sell-side?

so assuming base of 120k + 30k bonus = 150k all in

this feels like lower/middle of the pack. Are you publishing and tracking a model portfolio with trade idea entry and exit prices? If not...why not? By this point in your career, you should be moving beyond just doing what you are told, and using analysis + imagination = comprehension and creativity. You should now be in the creation part of your career...creating value from your own inspiration. Help other people make money, and you wil be rewarded. If you are just another cog in the wheel doing what you are told, then you won't make the big bucks.
