5 Hour Technical Assessment - What to expect?
The question is in the title. I'm not sure what really to expect for this in the interview process for sell-side equity research. Please let me know if any insights.
It's probably a modeling test and a writing test.
Modeling could be 1. you updating the model using a quarterly earnings press release and other materials and tying together the three financial statements and complete the ratio analysis and stuff.
Writing would be basically composing a earnings note from scratch (they will prob give you a previously published earnings note on the company as a sample, so you know what to focus on)
Out of curiosity, are these timed or is it typically a 1 week type of assignment ?
