AM / Equity Research Firms in DC
Just passed the CFA Level III this year. Graduated undergrad in 2009 so looking for an analyst role or higher. Currently working at Google, so not trying to move down in pay with the transition either.
Most of my networking from undergrad is in NYC and would have an easy time finding a position there.
However, I would much rather live and work in DC. Does someone have a list of equity research / asset management firms there?

Strategas Research Partners is a good independent shop. Jason Trennert is a pretty solid macro guy. Not sure what the pay looks like, but this was the first one that came to mind.
FBR has probably the largest platform out there for sell-side research.
Yeah FBR has the best platform in DC, they cover FIG, TMT, Consumer, Energy, REITS, and Insurance. They have over 30 analysts and more than 30 associates.
Legg Mason and T Rowe are in Baltimore. It's not uncommon to make the commute between the 2 cities.
