Best book on advanced accounting topics

Hi fellow chimps,

I would really appreciate if you could point me towards a couple of good advanced accounting books.

Thanks in advance,

Can you be more specific? Do you want a general accounting book or something specific like IFRS?

Accounting Publisher Wiley has very good materials on IFRS. Hope they help you!

"Finance and Accounting for Lawyers" by Michel and Shaked summarizes everything in a nice quick book. That's if you're just brushing up, if you need something very comprehensive this might not be it.

I've got an unopened "4th Edition: Fundamental Financial Accounting Concepts" by Edmonds/McNair/Olds. It's a basic financial accounting book and seems to be solid.

Full disclosure: this is the 4th edition and I use the 5th edition in class. Nonetheless, if you want it we can work something out.

chanceAlthough there are templates for LBO models, etc, I'd like a brush up on basic accting. Any favorites?

Guys, guys, guys. Dont lose the wood for the trees here. You'll get training when you join (be it full time or intern) and this will be more than enough. Use your free time to chill, have a bud, whatever, but don't use it to brush up on your accounting 101!!! Live a little.
