Biotech Offer Review
Just got an offer for Biotech ER. No doctorate. MM market firm.
Associate 1 Base: 125k Bonus: 10-20%
Am I being low balled? I’ve seen higher bases and definitely higher bonuses on this forum for Biotech ER.
Do I have room to counter/negotiate?
seems low, but right now it's a bad job market so everyone gets bad bonus anyway.
What about base?
Comp seems low regardless of the sector. Base is non negotiable and it’s based on level/tittle. You can try to argue for a higher level say associate 2 and get a higher base but that depends on your experience and how badly they want you. Unless you have prior relevant experience in ER or skills they value it’d be difficult to negotiate. Typically good sectors like biotech / TMT get higher bonus range in good times.
I thought standard comp for ER level one was $110,000?
