Corporate Finance to ER?
I know that corporate finance is commonly considered an exit opportunity from Equity Research, but does this go the other way around? Can someone with industry experience on the corporate side make the move into equity research?
Sorry if this is already a topic, most search results I found were about going from ER to CF.
Thanks.
Interested as well.
Possibly, if you're in the sector.
Wait...I can go into corporate finance? Oh mah gawd.

I've seen two forms on this topic, neither of them have provided an answer. Bump.
Absolutely, especially if you were doing corp fin at a publicly traded company and you want to work for an analyst that covers said publicly traded company.
However, you really have to make the case that you're interested in public markets and investing. You will also need to demonstrate good writing (extremely important) and modeling skills.
