Elizabeth Warren & Democrats: surface-level perspective of an African who doesn't pay much attention to Dem info/news

I know this is going to be an MS magnet (poor me), but I'm just curious/bewildered. I'm based in West-Africa, so I don't know the full back-story behind why she hates lobbying for "weaker bank regulations" by bank execs who "earn multiple $10millions in comp". I just watched excerpts of her grilling of SVB bosses on two 30-second WhatsApp statuses and she expressly demanded they ideally ought to voluntarily return some of their comp (as a guilt offering); so I have some questions:(1) from the little I've heard, rate hikes were the (sole?) decisive factor in these banking crises (so it wasn't entirely the fault of some "greedy bank CEO"); ergo:(2) a high-ranking US government official ought to have that much commonsense in economics......right?(3) all I saw in these videos excerpts seem inspired by hysterical hatred for the rich (the typical Dem/Left-wing stereotypes in my head); am I missing something?(4) In light of the fact in (1) above, is it usually this natural for Dem federal politicians to be this hysterically retarded (and oblivious to things like the real cause being rate hikes?)?? Please tell me the stereotypes I hear about the far Left are mere inaccurate caricatures(5) Are there important facts I need to learn about concerning this? Am I just being blinded by the reports I've heard about the US Left? Am I just having my mind clouded because I don't like her face? Please educate me
