Equity research no internships
I am currently completing a 2 year masters in economics at Oxford university and I have recently decided that I would like to have a career in equity research and I have no previous work experience in the industry. I decided this after (it seems) pretty much all summer internship applications have closed. There are a couple of things still open that I have found and I am applying to these. In the case that I don’t land any of these summer jobs how hard is it going to be for me to get a full time job when the masters finishes?
Without prior experience and directly through a grad scheme? Unlikely. My bank doesn't even take non-intern grads on a consistent basis and we're one of the larger ER intakes.
Other common routes into ER (not exhaustive): Big 4 audit/tas/corpfin/val, Big 3 CRA, consulting.
Bruh imagine going from oxford to big 4
You'd be surprised at where some Oxbridge grads end up
