Fixed Income and Equity Research - How Do They Differ?

Sorry for the total newbie question but I'm interested in learning more about the differences between fixed income research and equity research on the buy side. I know nothing but the obvious differences, in that fixed income usually works with high yield bonds and equity research focuses on stocks, but any insight into how the work and culture differ is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance!
They differ tremendously but at the same time they have characteristics that are extremely similar. You can’t expect someone to give you the answer on here because in all honesty one could write a book on it. Look it up yourself and you’ll learn 10x more about the space.
