Free Excel Financial Data Providers?
So I was just wondering if anyone knew of a way to get a free Excel add-in on data for companies. I've used Bloomberg, Factset, and Cap IQ's excel add-ins and they're great. I'm assuming if a free add-in is out there, it wont be too accurate, but its probably better than nothing.

i know that thinkorswim (trading platform of TDAmeritrade) has a free excel link for streaming realtime data (prices, trading volume, company fundamentals, etc..)

If you google “stock market functions add-in” you’ll find an open source excel add-in. It has hundreds of functions, and pulls different data from tons of different websites. It’s easy to set up and usually works pretty well.

I want to run correlations between historical prices of stuff. I can go on google finance and see charts but I would like big tables of data to run regression analysis on.
Is there a way to get this data for free?
Yahoo Finance has it for free just type in the company and then go to Historical Prices and then you can download it as a spreadsheet

Hey guys i'm in my last year of ug and my thesis is on "Analytical,prediction and evaluation models for stocks on company X" and I need to know if there are any free databases that provide financial information from different companies. If there's no such thing,what's the cheapest database one could get access to?
