Future International Student, New York

Hey guys I'm a potential international student planning to attend school in New York and live there aswell I have relatives up here so dorms don't really matter. I want to attend a 'target school' so to speak. NYU would perfectly fit the bill but my brother went to NYU, graduated last year and it really put a dent in my parents wallet although he got 60% off tuition (we live in a 'so called' 3rd world country). So I just want to know if there are more budget friendly target schools that I can attend. Baruch temporarily fit the bill until I saw some of you ruthlessly bash its curriculum on here. So I just want some opinions on where I should apply for... some facts would be good also (like cost of tuition).

P.s I'm looking into going for the equity research side of finance.

"Target" in NYC you are looking at NYU or Columbia. Depends on how much recruiting you are willing to give up for additional cost.
