Getting a job in ER from consulting

Hi, I am struggling to break into ER. Been applying for positions with a focus on biotech / healthcare and not getting any interviews - even though I have three years of consulting experience. What am I doing wrong....? Thanks in advance.

If you are APPLYING for positions using bank's career portals, that'd be first thing you are doing wrong. You need to get in front of the hiring analysts and bypass the HRs.

On the competency side, you need to alleviate the concern of your ability to value stocks and analyze companies (no doubt you have industry expertise) - so send a write-up and a 3-statement models with forecasts. No better way to show you are ready to hit the ground running day one.
