GfK Boutique Research
Does anyone have familiarity with GfK, particularly their boutique research group?
My understanding is that they lay the supply and demand, pricing, and other market data ground work for buy side clients on highly specific sub sectors/products, like packaged meats or wearable media. I am curious as to how sell side groups at banks, or even independent ER shops might perceive the experience, and more so, what exit opportunities to the buy side might look like. Thanks in advance.

I can say that it is possible to move into ER, but I haven't seen many people do it. Granted, that may be due to lack of effort but I would assume that you would have to show some sort of investment acumen in addition to the research you would be doing. I am looking into future ER opportunities as well so let me know if you find out anything!
