II Survey Results
Does anyone know where to get the complete 2011 II rankings for a given sector? Free access on institutional investor only shows the top analyst per sector from what I can see. Thanks much!
I wouldn't put too much weight on those rankings.
Very true.
But they are imperfect because they do not indicate how much the business your firm's department generates. And they are heavily lobbied for by large firms...BAML ER > Sanford Bernstein? BAML's not bad, but Sanford's quality is head and shoulder above them. They also weight votes by AUM...Vanguard might have a ton of assets, but they are not making your firm much money.
Greenwich is somewhat better because it measures market share. I heard that the new rankings are out, but I haven't seen them yet.
